Course Information

At Greenwood Academy we take voluntary work and enrichment seriously. The enrichment programme together with the many extra-curricular activities available in school, provides you with opportunities to complement your main programme of study and your personal development. Greenwood students are encouraged to take responsibility within school; working alongside tutors and subject teachers offering in-class support. Students willingly volunteer to support school charity events, parents' evenings, open evenings, induction days etc.

Drama and music have a particularly high profile in the academy and many of our sixth form students have regularly taken leading roles throughout the their school life. We encourage you to pursue sporting interests and complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.

Work experience
Some of our vocational courses require a practical work experience element. In order for your successful completion of the course you will be required to undertake work experience.
